My church sends hundreds of people to descend on the city of Portland each summer for a local initiative coined "Love Portland." This year we served 5 schools by cleaning, painting, and repairing their campuses. You can find out more about Love Portland here.
I led one of sites this year, Franklin High School. This is the school where our church meets on Sundays. I put together this little video from today. I did not spend much time on it, so it is not very high quality. But it gives an idea of the scope of the job we did.
Sam Adams, Portland's new mayor, stopped by for awhile. You'll see him at the end of the video along with our pastor, Rick, and a few others wearing black Love Portland T-shirts. Sam Adams is the one in a black hat and holding pruning shears.
